Pupil Premium
Pupil premium is money in the school budget allocated to support children and families with lower incomes and children in families who work in the armed forces. It is calculated on the number of children who are registered as eligible for free school meals (or have been in the last 6 years), those who have a parent in the services and those who have ever been a child looked after by the local authority. The money can be spent supporting families directly or on resources and activities which will impact on achievement and engagement for this particular group of children.
If you, or your partner, receive Income Support or income based Jobseekers Allowance school is able to claim additional funding to support your child’s learning. You may also be eligible if you receive:
-
Employment & Support Allowance (income related)
-
Pension Credit (guaranteed credit)
-
Child Tax Credits and have an annual taxable income of less that £16,190
-
Part VI of the immigration & Asylum Act 1999
- Do not receive working tax credit
These are the criteria used to assess for Free School Meals for children. If you think you may be eligible then please contact the school office.
